INTRODUCING A BRAND NEW BREED OF TV GENRE...
A REALITY WILDLIFE GAMESHOW!
A WHAT?
Yes you did read right. A fantastic idea from the creator of "Bundoo Boyz - Wild In Africa": Consider It Don productions has teamed up with
Animal Planet UK for the production of the first series of the
Big Five Challenge. Production was completed in Western Zimbabwe in October this year and this project is currently in post production in the UK.
"6 contestants, from all around the world, three teams, digital camera each, GPS data and throw them in the bush and film what happens next" said Rod Rodrigo, International Sales Manager for IMC Vision "It doesnt get much more real than that. There's no contrived situations, no safety nets, this is all real... real danger, real wild and real fun... I wonder when they are bringing out the Celebrity version!!"
"It was a hair raising fun factory!" says Don Percival, producer and creator of the concept. "The animals still get centre stage" Says Don nursing various cuts and bruises from the gruelling shoot "The participants were fantastic and the crew just held it all together"
What is even more exciting is that the format rights for this series are now available worldwide through IMC Vision. "There's is no reason why we cannot make this show fit your territory. You just provide the contestants, Consider It Don does the rest" said Rod excitedly.
"We are very realistic with our budgets and if you are flexible with your channel tech specs, then there is no reason why you couldnt commission the series whatever the size of your territory" says Don.
So excited are Animal Planet (UK) that it is rumoured that provisional dates have been mooted for series 2. In post production now, Animal Planet have two post production suites running a full pelt to finish the series for April 2008. With high end graphics, stunning cut aways, jaw dropping action and a truly breathtaking authentic soundtrack of a fusion of Zulu singers and western style scores, this production is not to be taken lightly!
